The sole reason for the existence of our profession is the students.


The superintendent of schools is the chief executive officer for the Brookfield Public Schools, and with his cabinet, supervises the entire school district. Dr. Barile provides educational vision, stewardship of the budget and financial management, administers personnel management (including hiring and evaluating principals and teachers), and overall school district operations. He works closely with the Board of Education, principals, special education director, faculty, parents, and town officials to ensure robust educational programming and student outcomes, along with providing leadership for a safe & orderly learning environment, and strategic planning for the future goals of the school system. Dr. Barile's responsibilities also include organizing and updating the Board of Education on policy and legislation that impact district operations and student programming.
